Father & Son
My father Mike, and I Garrett, started making knives in 2014. I had just returned home from a 4 year enlistment in the United States Marine Corps and wanted to get into a hobby. I admired some of my friends custom blades while deployed in Afghanistan and wanted to try making one myself. So I asked my dad if he would like to join me on this journey and he was excited to come along. Here we are a few years down the road with a several blades under our belt, creating functional works of art.
Knife Care
Keep the blade well oiled with a natural food safe oil such as mineral or olive oil. If storing the knife for longer than 2 weeks do not store inside of a sheath. Store in a cool dry place to avoid rusting. After using, wash clean with warm water and soap, towel dry completely and then re-apply oil. Carbon steel blades will rust if not oiled after each use or if left wet. Carbon steel knives will develop its own natural patina with use. These are not a dishwasher safe knives. NEVER PLACE KNIVES IN DISHWASHER.
Stainless steel blades do not have to be oiled as often as carbon steel blades but they still need to be well taken care of if you want them to last a lifetime. Wash and dry the knife and place in a dry area. These blades are stain resistant but can rust or discolor if left in a corrosive environment.
